Old Dorkinian Football Club

The Old Dorkinian Football Club was founded in 1930 and was originally a club where ex-pupils of the Dorking Grammar School could continue playing football after they had finished school. The club, whose home ground is at Pixham Fields on Pixham Lane, is now an open club, meaning that anybody can join. We run four adult sides on a Saturday afternoon who all play in various divisions in the Amateur Football Combination, so there is a side available for all standards of footballers. New members are always welcome and we run training every Wednesday under floodlights at Westhumble Playing Fields.
The clubhouse at Pixham Fields has a friendly bar which is open every Saturday evening after the matches and local residents are more than welcome to come down to watch a game of football and then have a couple of pints in the bar afterwards. We also show all of the 5.15pm Saturday Evening Setanta Sports games so please feel free to come down to watch those as well. The bar is also open on Sunday lunchtimes when our Vets Side are playing at home. The clubhouse can also be hired for events such as Birthday Parties, Wedding Parties etc.
The club also has a thriving youth section with sides ranging from under 8's up to under 16's with most of the games being played at Westhumble or Pixham. These sides also have training sessions at Westhumble during the week. Any local youngsters who want to become involved would be more than welcome.
If you have any questions regarding the club please contact the Chairman Andy Hoad on 07801 627 007 or if it is a youth team matter contact James Bray on 07971 865 716.
