PRA Social Evening

PRA Social Event at Friends Provident on 14th November 2009

Over 100 people turned out to support our event on Saturday. On offer were two local live bands -‘Across the Border’ an acoustic threesome and ‘Shedloads’ aka ‘The Strolling Bones’ (whats it to be boys?!), a four piece band with a guest appearance from Chris Hitchings, belting out some blues numbers.

Sav, our resident magician, moved amongst the crowds drawing gasps from an appreciative audience.

The Pixham girls policed the entrance vigorously denying entry to anyone without a ticket and politely suggesting that everyone should make a small donation to the Sri Lanka Tsunami School Appeal.

The combined efforts of residents produced a delicious curry buffet with Nan bread and Poppodums generously donated by Curry and Spice, a local Indian Restaurant.

It was great fun evening bringing local residents, friends and family together. A total of approximately £330 has been raised which will be split between the PRA and the schools n Sri Lanka.

Many thanks to everyone who came along and to all those who contributed in any way.
