No - it's not all hard work and grind, we have a bit of fun too.
Our annual Pixham Fete held at Old Pixham School and overflowing into the sports field gets everyone together for a social BBQ, beer, dogs show and other events. Not to mention Pop-up Pubs and Quiz Nights
On the more serious side we have funded and planted cherry trees and spring bulbs on Pixham Lane, arranged for installation of a defibrillator at St. Mary's Church, have an ongoing campaign for traffic management and speed reduction in Pixham Lane,
Our committee aims to gather residents' views on actions to take to improve life in Pixham, and to inform and support residents on the various local issues that concern them.

An annual sub of £5 per household supports what we do:

Helping and supporting Old Pixham School as a community hub

Keeping an eye on planning permissions and any local initiatives which might affect Pixham

Monitoring traffic speeds via Speedwatch

Running fund-raising events such as coffee mornings & quiz nights to support the school

Organising the summer fair and special events such as the Diwali evening

Running the Neighbourhood Watch scheme

Writing and publishing the Pixham Post

Holding monthly committee meetings which abide by a constitution - click here for archive of minutes

Organising the Street Steward scheme and inviting them when possible to attend committee meetings and discuss issues of importance to their area.

Having an Annual General Meeting where the Committee is elected and matters discussed.
